Cunningham, Scott. Magical Aromatherapy: The Power of Scent. (St. Paul, MN: Llewellyn Publications, 1993.) Indexed. Bibliography.
ISBN: 0-87542-129-6

Sometimes I think Cunningham is more than one person. Magical Aromatherapy is a well-researched, intelligent treatise on using essential oils and the scents of herbs in magic; a great contrast to his Magical Herbalism, which reads as if the author encountered plants only in the local botanical gardens. Using the theories of traditional (medical) aromatherapy, Cunningham presents magical traditions of scent use. If you use herbs or scent oils in your magic, this volume is very useful. Safety precautions are given for using all possibly dangerous materials, as well as rules of thumb for purchasing REAL essential oils. Tables of Zodiac correspondences, element and crystal correspondences, recipes for blended oils. Nice annotated bibliography and list of herb suppliers.
